Being a member of the NICEIC MCS scheme enables us to install Solar Thermal, Ground and Air source Heatpumps and Solar Photovoltaic (PV) Systems
Solar Thermal uses heat from the sun to warm domestic hot water (and supplement boiler capacity in some cases)
Air Source Heat Pumps absorb heat from the outside air. This heat can then be used to heat radiators, underfloor heating systems, or warm air convectors.
Solar PV generates electricity up to 50kw per system. Multiple PV systems can be installed on the same roof, to increase the KW output.
All renewable energy has to be installed to an MCS standard by an approved installer if the customer is to be eligible to claim money back from either the Feed In Tariff scheme (FIT) or the Renewable Heat Incentive scheme (RHI). Both of which form part of the much talked about ‘Green Deal’.
RHI
The Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) is a UK Government scheme set up to encourage uptake of renewable heat technologies among householders, communities and businesses through the provision of financial incentives. The UK Government expects the RHI to make a significant contribution towards their 2020 ambition of having 12 per cent of heating coming from renewable sources.
For further information from the MCS website regarding the RHI scheme, see the below link:

FIT
If you install an electricity-generating technology from a renewable or low-carbon source such as solar PV or wind turbine, the government's Feed-In Tariff scheme (FIT) could mean you get money from your energy supplier. You can be paid for the electricity you generate, even if you use it yourself, and for any surplus electricity you export to the grid. And of course you'll also save money on your electricity bill, because you'll be using your own electricity.
